I love places like Ayada Thai.
Its authentic food spots like this that make Queens one of the best boroughs to eat ethnic foods in.
Housed in a cute café like setting, Ayada Thai is one of those places that sears real Thai flavors into your palate. They understand the meaning of the word “spicy” – and that’s just the way I like it.
Ayada stays far away from the generic, Americanized Thai food that is served up in many restaurants across the city. Ask the wonderfully helpful waitresses to help you make good food choices.
They’ll proudly tell you about the Raw Shrimp Salad, which was on New York timeouts 100 tastes you’ve got to try, or the Fish topped with Mango Salad, which was featured on ABC news. Both dishes were outstanding!
Their Northern Thai Sausage appetizer is a must try , as is their Drunken noodles where that are flavored with basil leaves.
There are so many delicious dishes to try at Ayada… and there’s not much you can go wrong with.
Here is some of what we ate:
Tom Yum Chicken Soup
Northern Thai Sausage Appetizer
Raw Shrimp Salad
Chicken Satay
Duck Panang Curry
Pad Thai
Basil Chicken
Basil Fried Rice
Sautéed Eggplant
Fried Fish with Green Mango Sauce
Drunken Noodle
