Agnanti might be one of the better food spots in Astoria. Located right across from Astoria Park, this Greek restaurant is a little off the beaten path. It’s location does not take away from its poularity – at peak dining times , you may find it hard to find a table.
Their food is good for most part. I really like their home-style way of cooking. The seafood is excellent – their grilled octopus is killer and so is their grilled fish. I wasn’t too impressed with their Saganaki but everything else was good.
The service was a little scattered – they brought our Tzatziki without the pita and it took a few reminders to finally get it on the table. However the waiters are friendly enough to make dining here a really pleasant experience.
Here is some of what we ate:
Agnanti Wrap
Grilled Octopus
Tzatziki
Traditional Saganaki Baked Cheese
Catch Of The Day Grilled (Porgy)
Fried Baccalao
Lemon Potato
