Felice 15 Gold Street on Urbanspoon

This past week I was invited to the launch party for Jacopo Giustiniani’s Felice 15 Gold Street, which recently opened in Gild Hall, at the Thompson Hotel in the Financial District.

Felice, 15 Gold Street introduces authentic Italian classics and wines to the Wall Street community in its intimate 40-seat restaurant and upstairs wine lounge called La Soffitta.

The restaurant and lounge has a wine-centric theme with dramatic chandeliers made from the jugs used to produce the restaurant’s namesake labels. The wine program has been designed by Giustiniani’s himself whose passion was honed growing up in Florence on his family winery in Lucca. His signature label, Felice, features bianchi, rossi and rosé varietals, and will be offered alongside a diverse selection of Italian wines, from Friulian to Sicilian. In addition to serving more than 100 labels by the bottle, Giustiniani will offer 16 regular wines and 4 sparkling varieties by the glass.

Felice, 15 Gold Street is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offers special features such as a “Prix Fixe Lunch” option catering to busy Wall Street executives who want to dine within 45 minutes and an aperitivo menu offered upstairs in the wine lounge.

Dotted with Manhattan’s hipster elite, gorgeous Europeans and some seriously good looking wait staff, I spent my evening sampling light bites and sipping wines off of Felice’s extensive wine list.
