Must try: Gamberoni all’ “Acqua Pazza” , Crispy Branzino with Roasted Baby Carrots

I didn’t get Babbo.

Perhaps my palate is just not complex enough but after all the rave reviews and the accolades – I was rather underwhelmed with the meal we had there.

Was the food good? Of course it was.

Did it blow my top off the way that other places have – No!

I thought their Mediterranean Shrimp in Crazy Water was delicious as was the Branzino dish but the black spaghetti dish was just okay and the desserts were downright disappointing.

I agree I am not an aficionado for strange animal parts like cheeks or tongue which Batali loves to showcase but I at least expected to try one dish that would keep me coming back for more.

Not at this Batali spot I guess….

Here is some of what we ate:

Amuse Bouche

Arugula Salad with Roasted Mushrooms

Gamberoni all’ “Acqua Pazza”

Black Spaghetti with Fennel

Crispy Branzino with Roasted Baby Carrots

Saffron Panna Cotta with Rhubarb Marmellata and Rhubarb Sorbetto

Olive Oil Cake
