There was more than just aircrafts and space shuttles to experience at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum last night.
Pier 86 was pulsating with colorful food trucks, fervent foodies and a general mood of revelery as everyone was having the time of their life at The Village Voice Choice Streets – The Second Annual Food Truck Event.
This event was a one-stop shop to sample offerings from over 25 of the most popular food trucks in New York City. I was thrilled to represent Voice Places where any of you can review places and experiences. Do check it out at http://www.voiceplaces.com/new-york/
So my favorites of the night…
Comme Ci Comme Ca
I think the best food I tried was the Moroccan Food at Comme Ci Comme Ca. His Moroccan Kofta Cous Cous was kicking as was Chef Samir’s disarming smile and manner!
Big D’s Grub
I also really liked the Spicy Pork Taco from Big D’s Grub. We liked it so much that we got it twice!
Neapolitan Express
Neapolitan Express was slicing out super thin and tasty slices of yummy pizza.
For the sweet tooth – Wafles and Dinges never fail to delight with their wonderful eats and Kelvin’s Natural Slush Co. had really refreshing combinations of slushes.

Red Hook Food Vendors
One of the most interesting dishes I tried last night was from The Red Hook Food Vendors who were serving up Solber Pupusas, which are traditional grilled corn masa patties from El Salvador.
And a BIG shame on you to Mausuam Curry n Bites for running out of food one hour into the event and Valducci’s Original Pizza for never opening up!!! That is not cool!
