Parish Hall, is a relatively new dining spot in Williamsburg opened by the veteran team behind the extremely popular Egg.

The menu at Parish Hall reflects the surrounding area of New York, the Catskills, and the Hudson River Valley offering “regional Northeast cuisine”.

The space is bright, airy and modern with tiny bursts of color on each table added by a single flower placed in glass flasks. The great news is that they do take reservations, which is such a comfort to not be waiting for eons on line to get a table.

The dishes offered at Parish Hall are sophisticated combinations of local and seasonal ingredients combined in interesting plates.

I didn’t think the food was outstanding but it certainly was good. The meal just seemed to be missing that certain “punch” that calls me to go back. Egg seemed to have more of that allure for me than Parish Hall did.
