Monsoon is a superb Southeast Asian restaurant in Yangon, which has an emphasis on seafood. Housed in a gorgeous colonial building, this cheerful and airy restaurant offers refuge to local residents, expats and tourist alike.

The food is outstanding! One can choose from a vast array of Burmese, Vietnamese, Thai, Lao, and Cambodian dishes. They also offer popular fast food dishes like burgers etc.

Do try the Oh No Khao Swe which was one of my favorite dishes there as was the Steamed Fish with Chili Lime sauce. Basically you can’t really go wrong with anything you order here.

There is a local craft store located upstairs serves as a good destination to go and stretch ones legs after a scrumptious meal.
