It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the Holiday Markets of New York City are here and in good cheer.
These markets set in outdoor and indoor spaces transform the landscape into a winter wonderful gifts and goodies.
I love trolling through interesting booths of beautiful artisan wares that are truly delightful and supporting small local artists.
There are so many markets all around New York City. The ones I’ve made it to so far have been the The Holiday Shops at Bryant Park, Union Square Park Holiday Market and Grand Central Terminal Holiday Fair.
All that shopping does of course make one hungry and luckily there are plenty of good food options available to warm the soul.
One of my favorite food tries this year was at the Union Square Market where I had a steaming cup of a Persian soup at “Taste of Persia”. It really hit the spot.
Of course the usual suspects that one can never go wrong with such as Wafels and Dinges , Maacron Parlor, La Sonarisa and so on were scattered all through these markets.
If you haven’t made it to the markets yet…do make an effort to go. You will not be disappointed.
Here is some of what we saw and ate:
