Kitchen Angkor Chey, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Kitchen Angkor Chey is tucked away down a long narrow driveway, away from the hubbub of the main town.

The place was tacky at best – everything about it from its service to the food to the facilities was subpar.

Our guide recommended the place to us and I have to say that it was actually the worst meal we had in our entire stay in Siem Reap.

Not only was the place dowdy but the prices were surprisingly high for the kind of place it was and the quality of food it served.

It is obvious that this place only gets customers by tipping local guides to lure unsuspecting customers there.

Don’t be fooled – there are way too many better options for anyone to even waste a single meal in Siem Reap. Skip this one – please!

This is what we ate:

Fried Long Eggplant Chicken

Fried Sweet and Sour Fish

Fried Hot Chilly Chicken

Vermicelli Salad with Chicken

Fried Rice

Khmer Curry
