Flushing, in Queens is a treasury chockfull of eateries of which Hunan Kitchen of Grand Sichuan is definitely one to visit. Serving the more uncommon cuisine from the Hunan Province, this spot serves a menu full of delicious eats.
Chef Chen Gangyi infuses traditional smoky flavors in his dishes trading in bold flavors for the spicy numbing flavors of his Sichuan counterparts.
Just try the “BBQ” fish where a whole tilapia is crisped and served on a bed of yam, white potato, celery, peanuts, chili peppers and string beans, and smothered in the most flavorfully spiced sauce.
Another favorite was the sautéed string beans, which had just the right amount of crispy to it along with mind-blowing taste.
With a price point that’s hard to beat and eats quite to good – Hunan Kitchen of Grand Sichuan is definitely on my list.
