Delaware and Hudson is a truly delightful addition to the Williamsburg food scene.
Occupying the former “Egg” space, this tiny 38 seater is owned by Chef Patti Jackson’s of Centovini / I Trulli and her husband Sam Greenfield.
Jackson has crafted a menu that draws inspiration from “fine regional recipes from Baltimore to Buffalo”. She uses local and seasonal ingredients that are fresh as can be to prepare simple yet interesting combinations of dishes. Delaware and Hudson was awarded a well-deserved Michelin Star this past year!
I really enjoyed the clean flavors of all the dishes we tried. The vegetables were really vibrant and crisp. The only dishes that were misses for me were the “Pickled Eggs” and “Salt Roasted Potatoes”.
When we visited Delaware and Hudson, it was for lunch but I hear that the four-course $48 set menu for dinner is really the thing to try. I guess there will just have to be a next time!
Here is some of what we ate:
Pickled Eggs
Wimpie
Hoagie
Albacore Tuna Salad
Miss Rose’s Baltimore Crab Cake Sandwich
