Must try: Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Ground Pork with Basil and Chilies,
Plant Love Toast
What started as a mother feeding her daughter’s hungry friends with delicious home-style Thai eats, has now culminated in the ultra cozy Plant Love House that recently opened up in Elmhurst.
Manadsanan Sutipayakul helms the kitchen at this brand new Elmhurst spot with the help of her daughters Benjaporn and Preawpun. The idea was born after the girls left for college and found that their friends were still hankering for their mothers delicious home cooked meals. Thus Plant Love House was birthed!
The menu leans towards comfort food with broths with noodles that really hit the spot. My favorite was the “Tom Yum” which had just the right amount of tangy sourness.
There are a handful of signature dishes on the menu and a must try selection of desserts.
I had one of the best “Pork with Basil” and for dessert the “Plant Love Toast” is a must do! I recommend you add an egg to pretty much any dish that allows it. That just adds another level of yum to already delicious food.
I love that Plant Love House exists. The décor is cheery with rustically cute touches everywhere (I’m sure the girls had something to do with this).
I know for sure that Plant Love House is going to be one of my new go to spots!
