I was recently invited to an intimate blogger dinner at Bagatelle – one of the most happening French restaurants in the Meatpacking District with the awesome Chef Sebastian Chamaret at the helm of it all . We were hosted by the wonderful folk at Blue Polo Interactive (Michael, Josh & Jesselyn) w/ blogger pals Jean Phillipe from I Just Want to Eat and Christine Yi from CY Eats.
Bagatelle has that chic European Parisian/St. Tropez vibe going on. This New York City hotspot is known for its iconic weekend brunch scene which turns into a happening spot with patrons partying on tabletops and chairs.
However there is another side of Bagatelle that is worth talking about and that is the wonderful French and Mediterranean style fare it offers. Bagatelle‘s Executive Chef Sebastian Chamaret serves up elegant comfort foods that cater to the palates of the city’s elite.
At the bloggers dinner we were treated to what seemed to be practically the entire menu. We were served everything from their Pizza À La Truffe to the Châteaubriand. My favorites were the Tartare De Thon Bagatelle, the Gnocchi Truffles and the Poulet Rôti Entier À La Truffe.
Chef Chamaret has really put Bagatelle on the culinary map in the Meatpacking District making it a worthy spot to not just party in but also to enjoy a really good meal at.
