It’s that time of year again folks when Maison Kayser unveils its incredible holiday collection of artisanal breads and pastries.
I was invited to a special preview breakfast at their newest location in Tribeca, where Eric Kayser and his dream team of master bakers had us sampling an assortment of superb baked goods.
Eric Kayser, a 5th generation Parisian master baker is known for his high quality ingredients, slow fermentation and artisanal process, which makes up the heart of his operations. At the breakfast he shared just how fastidious his entire team is about serving quality goods, every single time at every one of his worldwide locations
Kayser and his expert team of highly trained master bakers treated us to an array of fabulous items from the upcoming holiday season. Some of the items we tried included Pumpkin Ciabatta, Mini Pumpkin rolls, Chestnut Bread, Pumpernickel with Dried Fruits, Chestnut Tart, Buches de Noel, Tarte Pecan and much more.
We were also treated to a signed copy of his new cookbook: The Larousse Book of Bread on how to make bread at home.
All of the breads and pastries we sampled will be available at all stores across New York City during the holiday season.
Here is some of what we ate:
