Michelin-starred chef Gabriel Kreuther packed his knives at the Modern in 2014 to open his eponymous restaurant overlooking Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan.
Kreuther brought with him his delicate Alsatian-inspired cooking along with timeless favorites such as his “Smoked Sturgeon and Sauerkraut Tart topped w/ Caviar”
He also brought along his expert pastry chef, Marc Aumont, who is crafting most excellent breads and desserts.
The meal we had at Gabriel Kreuther was really quite excellent – reminiscent of the old world cooking techniques with plenty to keep it relevant and stand out in today’s day.
