Within the spread of Le District lies a quiet 28-seater nook called L’Appart. Styled as a “chef’s apartment”, this Michelin starred spot is helmed by Executive Chef Nicolas “Nico” Abello who offers a changing, seasonal menu.
The cuisine is classically French with a modern flair. Having worked at Daniel and under Pierre Gagnaire and Gerard Vie, Chef Nico’s technique is flawless.
Once you enter Chef’s apartment, you leave the rest to him and his remarkable team. The setting is seemingly informal but definitely well-heeled with impeccable service.
The food is art on a plate. Beautifully presented and thoughtfully created, each course brought on a different tasting experience. As terrific as the meal was, the dessert my favorite part. Chef Mina outdoes herself in combining unexpected flavors and textures to create perfection.
