I hate going hungry to any kind of museums, zoos or theme parks because I just cant stand the standard pizza, hot dog, chicken nuggets fare that is served up, all across America.
So imagine my surprise when I walked into this:
The Academy Café at the brand New California Academy of Sciences just blew my mind! Looking at the Menu, you get the sense that you’re not in Kansas anymore!! You just don’t walk into one of these kids amusement cafeteria places and expect to find Pho and Tagine!! There are food stations that cater to all kinds of food moods! The food looks, smells and tastes good. Its not just standardized, defrosted, micro waved junk that’s served elsewhere. They actually have cuisine!
I wish we could have eaten more as there also was an amazing slow cooked section of foods from Ireland to Morocco.
Everything looked so good – from the Steamed Chinese Buns, Vietnamese Summer Rolls to their fresh sandwiches.
I could have spent hours in the cafeteria, going through courses and counters of food but we did pay a pretty penny to see the beautiful exhibits at the The California Academy Of Sciences. The next time I go there…. I just know that I’m going to go early and hungry!!!
