Lan Zhou Hand-Pulled Noodle on Urbanspoon

In the grubby little basement of the Golden Mall in Flushing lie some truly tasty treats.

Lan Zhou is home of authentic hand pulled noodles.

It takes a while to decode their menu and choose between the numerous options on the board. Most of the choices are broth based with all kinds of seafood, meat and vegetarian offerings.

Once you have placed your order the magic begins. It is mesmerizing to watch how, a little lump of dough, is, slammed, pressed and pulled into perfect long noodles. They also make fresh dumplings, which you can take to go.

A generous sized, hot bowl of soft, chewy, comforting goodness cost between 5-6 dollars –  now thats a bargain that you just cant beat.
