Must try: pita bread, assorted spreads, grilled fish

Welcome to my newest favorite Greek restaurant in Astoria!

Bahari Estiatorio embodies all that one would expect from the Greek culture – the warmth and mirth of the people, the fabulous freshness of the food and all of it is served with real affection at super affordable prices! What more could one ask for?

My personal favorites from the menu were the house made pita bread and the spreads – the Skordalia will knock your socks off! Their fish was so fresh and perfectly grilled – it’s the best I have had in Astoria. The grilled octopus and fried calamari were a bit disappointing – a little too chewy for my liking but it didn’t stop me from eating.

Bahari was on the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant picks for 2012 and I know why – this place is the real deal!
