I didn’t get Babbo.

 Perhaps my palate is just not complex enough but after all the rave reviews and the accolades – I was rather underwhelmed with the meal we had there.

Was the food good? Of course it was.

Did it blow my top off the way that other places have – No!

 I thought their Mediterranean Shrimp in Crazy Water was delicious as was the Branzino dish but the black spaghetti dish was just okay and the desserts were downright disappointing.

 I agree I am not an aficionado for strange animal parts like cheeks or tongue which Batali loves to showcase but I at least expected to try one dish that would keep me coming back for more.

Not at this Batali spot I guess….
