The Modern Dining Room overlooking MoMA’s Sculpture Garden is a lovely dining venue. This bright and airy room offers an elegant reprieve from the bustle of the museum.
Restaurateur Danny Meyer and Chef Gabriel Kreuther offer superb French-American cuisine in plates that match the art that is showcased within the museum it is housed in.
The menu at the Modern is thoughtfully inspired by seasonal ingredients and presented on artful small plates. Each dish is a masterpiece with several layers of complexity in each bite.
Lunch and dinner offer a prix fixe menu with a wonderful selection of dishes. I would say that The Modern is definitely a bucket list restaurant for New York City.
