Mercer Kitchen is Jean-Georges’ chic Soho eatery.

Located in a basement space of the trendy Mercer hotel, the menu here tenders French-influenced new American fare. Dishes are generally market driven whilst some favorites remain on the menu all year around.

I found our meal here to be really solid. Some dishes really shone like the Steamed Shrimp Salad and the Roasted Eggplant stracciatella wood-fired pizza whilst dessert was a disappointment.

The portions are very generous – I ordered the lunch prix fixe and found it too be too much for one person!

Mercer Kitchen offers a really great overall neighborhood spot with a super cool vibe and good food and thus is often dotted with locals and A-list celebrities alike.
