I am a chip addict – there I said it!

And Chennai Chips is the absolute ruin of my waistline when I visit Chennai in the summertime.

This tiny little chip shop serves really super yummy chips of all kinds. They fry up a myriad of vegetables – everything from bitter gourd to beetroot.

My favorites are still the classic potato chips – I love the spicy version ( chilly chips) which have a nice hint of asafetida and a good smacking of chili in them.

 Chennai Chips was started by the owner Mrs. Viji who used to be a computer software engineer but decided she needed to do something else once she started a family. Her passion has led to a really successful small enterprise, which churns out some super duper treats.
