I spent this past Sunday at a really cool event hosted by Tastemade & Food 52.
The event was at the Food 52 headquarters, which is such an awesome space – a perfect congregation site for fervent foodies such as myself. It really embodies it mission of “bringing cooks/ foodies together from all over to exchange recipes and ideas and to support each other in the kitchen”
However, the evening was all about Tastemade and their amazing new app which they have just launched. All the three founders – Steven Kydd, Larry Fitzgibbon, and Joe Perez as was Amanda Hesser of Food 52. Tastemade has just one mission: to connect the world through food. To do this they have launched a really easy to use mobile app on the iPhone for food lovers.
The Tastemade app allows you to create one-minute episodes on your fave foods, restaurants and so on. What I love about this app is that they have taken out all that’s cumbersome about making videos – it does it all for you – you just have to point and shoot. I love it!! My favorite part about the app is that you are encouraged to shoot raves and not rants! Only positive stuff people – that’s really awesome.
The evening was spent mingling with fellow bloggers and foodies and chatting with the ultra friendly Tastemade and Food 52 team. We had delicious light bites and wonderful wines and drinks.
Thank you Tastemade and Food 52 for a super evening. It really was a treat meeting you all and I cant wait to use my brand new app!
