Ever heard of a fish cutter?
Well if you are in Barbados then you must try a cutter at Cuzz’s fish shack which is rumored to serve some the most popular cutters on the island.
A fish cutter is basically a thick sandwich made with salt bread, pan-fried blue marlin, lettuce with an option of either a fried egg, or cheese. You can then add heat with the Bajan pepper sauce or add mayo, mustard or ketchup.
Cuzz’s tiny blue and yellow fish stand is located just outside Bridgetown – in a parking lot right between the Hilton and Radisson Aquatica hotel. It opens up around 9 AM and it serves cutters until about 5 PM or till they run out of fish.
Cuzz’s fish shack is easy to spot by the long line of hungry patrons looking to grab a hot, fresh cutter with a chilled Banks beer. Priced very reasonably and located steps away from the ocean – these cutters serve as the perfect anytime snack.
