Touted time and time again as the best cookies in New York City, the name Levain is synonymous with indulgence.
The cookies here are actually geological formations made of mounds of chocolate and sin. Housed in a tiny café on the Upper West Side, Levain’s cozy digs has a constant flow of worshippers lined up tot get their daily fix.
Levain’s massive six-ounce cookies come in Chocolate Chip Walnut, Double Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, and Oatmeal Raisin.
Everyone has a favorite – being chocoholic – mine is the double chocolate chip.
These perfectly baked beauties are crisp on the outside, which gives way to a molten, gooey center.
Levain also offers a range of fresh baked breads and other pastries but for me – the cookies are the way to go!
