Must try: Adana kabab, Pastrami hummus

Taci’s Beyti is a family-run restaurant that has been serving Turkish cuisine in Midwood, Brooklyn. Taci Bek started it in 1988 and it is now a thriving spot thronged with local patrons.

The menu here offers standard Turkish fare with a few spin offs that are very popular. The Pastrami Hummus is definitely worth a try. As far as food goes I didn’t find anything outstanding. The Adana kabab was good but I found their Doner a bit dry. I preferred the mezze to the main meal. I think I’ve been very spoiled by our local Turkish eatery Roka which is hard to beat.

What I loved most about Taci’s Beyti was the warm and homey feel to the place. The servers were super efficient at handling large groups and all the service is truly with a smile and more.
