The Sahara Desert might have been one of the most breathtaking parts of our trip to Morocco.
There is nothing quite like spending a night amongst the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Sahara Desert. We stayed at the La Belle Etoile encampment, where we were housed in Berber tents (bivouacs).
That evening we were treated to a fantastic Moroccan feast as we dined under the stars and were entertained by the lilting sounds and rhythms of the local Bedouin tribesmen.
The morning brought on an early start as we woke at the crack of dawn to take a camel safari to the dunes to watch the sunrise.
Upon our return we had a fantastic breakfast laid out for us.
Our trip to the Sahara was one that I will never forget.
