I remember walking into La Bergamote several years ago and just loving everything I tried there. It’s taken me close to five years to go back there and I have to say that my experience was deeply disappointing.

Eats aside, the service was just horrible. We were all of two people in the café and we got our tea spilled on us – no order taken and then parts of it forgotten and all of this topped off with really mediocre pastries.

Somehow it seemed to me that La Bergamote has just lost the pizzazz it had in its earlier days. This French patisserie has so much scope that I really hope that it gets its shine back soon.
