Must try: Corsican Mint Salad, Lamb Burger, Eggplant with Tahini
There are some spots that just scream “ I need to do this with my girlfriends”! Claudette is definitely one of them.
This charming place is perfectly designed to hit you right in your sweet spot. Serving beautifully executed Provençal fare with touches of North African influences, Claudette is rather a delight.
Brought to life by Carlos A Suarez and Mark Barak of Rosemary’s and Bobo fame, the menu here offers really wonderfully composed plates.
My very favorites were the vegetarian selections, which they offer a plethora of. I especially loved the “Corsican Mint Salad” and the “Eggplant with Tahini”. The Tunisian flatbread served with a truffle hummus was heavier than expected and fell a bit flat on flavors but was good nonetheless.
I really loved their “Lamb Burger” served on a perfectly crisped English muffin along with their signature “Ras el hanout” fries.
I love that a place like Claudette exists in the hustle and bustle of New York City! Go and try it – I’m sure you will love it too.
