El Shabrawy is a fast food chain of eateries which are popular for their shwarma, tamiya (broad bean patties) and other sandwiches.

The locals seem to flock to this place as it is quick, well priced and rather hygienic. I wasn’t too impressed by the food – especially the shwarma was just okay.

However I did go to the original ­­El Shabrawy which is located at Khan Khalili market and they had much more of an authentic touch.

Do try their felafel sandwich there, which was really very good.
