Korean fried chicken is all the rage in New York City right now with many spots offering good rendition of it. However in my opinion no one makes it as well as Oppa does – none come even close.
Housed in the New Gansevoort Market Oppa serves Korean fast food which includes Korean BBQ flavored rice bowls, burritos, tacos, salad bowls, chicken wings, fried chicken sandwiches, and Ramen Soups.
Whilst all the other offerings fade into the background – their Korean fried chicken sandwich and chicken wings are some of the best I have tried – bar none!
The sandwich consists of a crispy double fried chicken, smothered with Gochujang sauce, topped with spicy mayo on a bed of fresh cut crispy greens barely held together between a Martins Potato roll. I cannot tell you just how fantastic the flavors of this sandwich are.
The crispy, crunchy Buljang follow suit in flavor and texture and are also just as perfectly executed. Trust me, once you have tried Oppa ‘s Korean Fried Chicken – you will keep coming back for more.
