Roni-Sue’s Chocolates, LES, NYC

I was recently invited to a “Fall Into Chocolate Dipping Party” at Roni-Sue’s Chocolates co-hosted by Jackie Gordon of Divalicious Chocolate Events, Fountains & Tastings.

Rhonda “Roni-Sue” Kave is the chocolatier and owner of Roni-Sue’s Chocolates downtown who has been open since October 2007 she has been making chocolates for over twenty-five years.

Sourcing her chocolate from a single origin source, Rhonda often spends time in Belize with the farmers who grow the cacao beans for her chocolate. She has partnered up with MOHO Chocolate Company where 60% of the dark chocolate is made by local artisans using organic Mayan cacao.

At the Chocolate Dipping Party there were chocolate fountains, one of which was Matcha – green tea white chocolate and the other was 60% MOHO semi-sweet chocolate

There were over 25 kinds of treats in the fountains including pumpkin spice cream puffs; caramel lady apples; cranberry pepita popcorn balls; apple cider donut holes, etc. as well as classics like strawberries, marshmallows, rice crispy treats and more.

The event was super fun. Thanks to Rhonda and Jackie for hosting and inviting me.
