Nestled in the heart of Williamsburg is a delightful spot, serving food so fresh and authentic you forget where you are.

The menu at Zizi Limona brings more than a slice of the Middle East to your table.
Do start off with the ‘Crazy Baba’ made with charred eggplant, feta and basil. Simple flavors served with house made grilled pita bread so fluffy and light that you just cant stop eating it.
The menu takes inspiration not only from the Middle East but also from Northern Africa, Spain and more.
If you are in the mood for a tangy dish with a hint of heat – try the “Shishito Peppers”. These are charred to perfection and served with a Spanish-style black-eyed beans salad topped with smoked paprika aioli. The combination of textures, flavors and temperatures works so beautifully in this dish.
Do try either the “Shakshuka” or the “Cowshuka” if you feel like adding some steak on a dish of poached eggs topped with ‘matbucha’ sauce, sautéed spinach, chickpeas and harissa. It was delicious.
I really enjoyed everything I tried at Zizi Limona. I love the vibrancy and hominess of the space, the people and the plate. I can’t wait to go back.
