I recommend: California Rolls. Rocky Mountain Roll

 Totoya Restaurant on Urbanspoon

This non-descript, east side Japanese restaurant serves food that is a little better than mall sushi and less than the fabulousness that Manhattan has to offer. It’s appeal is in its standard Japanese fare that is served at affordable prices. The food is consistent and very palatable. No surprises or wows are served up here. Here is some of what we ate:

SHUMAI

I didn’t like their shumai. It was a little over done and the filling was not tasty.

CALIFORNIA ROLL

There California roll was pretty good – the avocado was perfectly ripened in the roll.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN ROLL

I really liked this roll. It was spicy tuna with avocado wrapped in a thin rice or tofu skin with caviar and tempura flakes sprinkled on top.

SPIDER ROLL

I didn’t like their spider roll at tall. The soft shell crab was over-fried, which took away from the flavor of the roll.
