Must try: Calamari all a Griglia, Cozze alle Tre di Coppa, Tartufo Pizza, Homemade Tiramisu

The Three of Cups is a wonderful rustic restaurant located in the East Village, serving some seriously authentic Southern Italian eats.

There are so many “must haves” at this restaurant that I don’t know quite where to begin. Start with their grilled calamari and shrimp. Then move on to the superb thin crust pizza. I loved the Tartfufo but there are so many to choose from. You cannot leave without trying their tiramisu – it is amazing – one of my favorites so far.

After all that good food – If you are looking for a walk on the wild side then mosey on down to the basement. There is a cozy rock and roll lounge with live music where the likes of Lady Gaga have been spotted.

I really love the comfort that the Three of Cups provides. From the warmth of their wood burning ovens and exposed brick walls to the wonderful service. A special shout-out to Anthony Barile, one of the co-owners, who is one the nicest hosts you will ever come across!

With all the new funky pop-ups that the East Village is bursting with, it really is refreshing to walk into something that feels as familiar and homey as the Three of Cups.

The Three of Cups in Tarot symbolizes abundance, joy and friendship – that is exactly what I would go to this wonderful spot to celebrate!
