Must try: Black-eyed Pea Cake
V-Note, an organic wine bar and vegan bistro has debuted on the Upper East Side.
Opened by Ronen Seri’s of Blossom and Café Blossom, V-Note invites one to sip on drinks that are vegan and organic and experiment with a menu of gourmet vegan dishes.
V-Note offers a full menu with appetizers, entrees and desserts. They also offer many combinations of fruit and vegetable juices.
I found the appetizers to be more appealing than the entrees. The food was tasty though not particularly healthy as a lot of what we tried was fried or tended to be on the heavier side.
V-Note is the first vegan restaurant I have tried and I was very pleasantly surprised. I can’t wait to try more!
Here is some of what we ate:
Juice
Black-Eyed Pea Cake
Mushroom Phyllo Cigars
Lasagna
