Must try: Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake, The Harvest
In an area that is rife with good, affordable food spots, one wonders how yet another dessert place could do thrive the way that Spot Dessert Bar does.
Headed up by Pasty Chef Ian Kittichai, this treat abode offers Asian accented quality desserts in a really relaxed setting with price point that works!
What Spot presents is a whimsical gourmet dessert experience showcasing some seriously innovative sweets! Their plated desserts are called tapas of which you can order either from the “signature” or “seasonal” selection.
Don’t be surprised if a dessert called “Harvest” arrives in earthenware pot, freshly potted with cocoa cookie crumble “soil”, topped with a fresh sprig of mint. The layers of shortcake and fresh fruit that lie within go perfectly with the raspberry sorbet and crème anglaise sauce that it is plated with.
Ofcourse they also serve exotically flavored versions of the usual suspects like cookies, cupcakes, macarons and so on but the artful “Tapas” is what I would go for.
