Cheffette is Barbados’s version of McDonalds but with many local menu options factored in. Started by a Syrian businessman, Assad John Haloute, Cheffette now is the largest fast food chain in Barbados with 14 restaurants, 9 drive-thrus, 7 playgrounds and a manufacturing plant, employing almost 800 Barbadians.

Serving a menu that includes regional favorites such as “Broasted” meats and options of “Roti” stuffed with vegetable or meat, Cheffette seems to be the go to place for locals and tourists alike.

There is now a signature yellow and purple Cheffette opened up at the airport where one can get a quick fast food hit when travelling to or from the country.
