Must try: Crab Monsieur, Baby Spinach Salad

Hudson Clearwater is another one of Manhattan’s – so to speak “secret” restaurants.

Owned by Mark Barboni and Matt Hechter, this West Village speakeasy is styled with rustic wood and marble interiors. Despite its enigmatic aura, the peeps at Hudson Clearwater are super friendly and put you right at ease.

Serving hyper seasonal New American eats, Hudson Clearwater’s menu has its highs and lows. I had a stunning Crab Monsieur and Baby Spinach Salad. However the Grilled Hanger Steak and Angus Burger were very under seasoned whilst the Eggs Benedict were very overcooked.

I do however see the potential for a really good meal at Hudson Clearwater and would, given time, be willing to try again.
