Ladybird Bakery in Park Slope sucks!! There I said it – everything about this place, which I should have loved just about sucks!

I went with such excitement and high expectations to Ladybird thinking that it was once Two Little Red Hens which houses my favorite “Brooklyn Blackout”. What a disappointment.

Firstly lets start with the attitude of the people working there. There’s no warm greeting – its almost like they are tapping their feet and looking at their watches as you take time to decide what you want.

Secondly – if I want to buy a Brooklyn Blackout – they have no cupcake sizes. You are forced to buy a mini sized cake.

Thirdly – even though the cake looks as good as the one in Two Little Red Hens its not nearly as good.

I see no reason to ever go back there. Their attitude really isn’t becoming of the neighborhood they are in – or maybe it is – who am I to say.

All I can say is that I’m so grateful that Two Little Red Hens moved to where it is now and will always be my happy place and always a joy to go to both for my tummy and me!

Here is some of what we tried:
