Sasabune might be one of my favorite sushi spots in New York City. So imagine my surprise when I discovered the existence of a “Sasabune Express”. What a wonderful concept.

The idea behind Sasabune Express is to provide similar quality of sushi quicker and at a lower price point. The menu at Sasabune Express is really simple. You can choose few combinations of the most popular cuts of fish. They also offer a few salads, rolls and sides too but the main focus is just sushi and sashimi.

The place is tiny with very limited seating capacity but at this price point it’s a wonderful option to take out or order in from.
