BB.Q Chicken KoreaTown, Midtown, NYC

Korean fried chicken cooked in 100% extra virgin olive oil! Now we have a justifiable excuse to eat this all day long. There are many delicious reasons other than just the health factor that warrants a visit to the newly opened BB.Q Chicken.

I recently was invited for a media event that showcased the space and its offerings. There are two levels at BB.Q Chicken. The first floor is a more casual space which is self service for lunch. One can opt for many of the fried chicken options and several lunch specials to take out or stay in to eat.

These is a cozy, more formal space in he basement which has table service and is geared towards a sit down experience. They serve heartier dishes such as the “Gochujang Chicken Galbi and Rice Ball Set” along with the fried chicken favorites and more.

The fried chicken is really delicious. I loved the “Golden Olive Chicken” – which has a great crunch and juicy interior.

My favorite wings were the “Gangam Style” ones which had a superb kick of spice to the fried chicken – just the way I like it.

Gochujang Chicken Galbi and Rice Ball Set was a winner. Just look at the rice balls – they are a meal just by themselves.

BB.Q Chicken Korea Town is definitely worth a visit – day or night….in fact I think I’m having a craving just about now!
