Ever feel like you want to enjoy a bowl of Ramen in total solitude?
Well now you can with the import of Ichiran Ramen, a chain, from Japan to NYC!
Housed in East Williamsburg/Bushwick, there is only one kind of broth offered at Ichiran, which is the tonkotsu one. Here you can opt to dine in one of their “flavor concentration booths” which is sort of a private carrel in which you place your order on a sheet and receive your ramen shortly after. You can then dine in seclusion enjoying the flavors, aromas and more.
There is the option to eat at a table with others in a separate section too.
Ichiran makes their own ramen noodles on site and they make a great chili powder too. A bowl of ramen here sets you back at least $20 and if you add extras you could be looking at a $40 bowl of broth.
The ramen at Ichiran is excellent. I’m not sure if it beats out Ramen Zundo Ya for me but it is definitely worth a try.
