Kirsh Bakery & Kitchen makes incredible bread and more!
But this is a serious bakery that makes all its bread in-house and every version of bread we tried was so good that we end up buying several loaves to take home.
The great part about Kirsh is that it’s a wonderful restaurant too and just as they do with the bread – all their ingredients are made fresh from scratch – jams, vinaigrettes – the list goes on and on.
Owned by Israeli Chef Dan Kirsh and his wife Anat, the all-day menu here offers everything from brunch specials to Mediterranean inspired appetizers and mains.
My recommendation is definitely order a dish that has bread in it. The French toasts for example what are offered in sweet and savory flavors are perhaps some of the best I have tried in the city. They are flavored just enough allowing the bread to shine.
From the appetizers my favorite was the Grilled Eggplant & Garlic.
Kirsh Bakery & Kitchen truly is an Upper Westside gem. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
