Yangon is Myanmar’s former capital and still the hub of most activity in the country. The city though crowded with about four million, is teeming with personality.

Yangon is where the grandeur of Myanmar’s history meets with Colonial charm. Everything from the beautiful Shwedagon Pagoda to the mix of colors and cultures adds to its charm.

Life is very much lived out on the streets in Yangon, as is the case of most Asian countries. The streets are abuzz with food hawkers selling everything from fruits to fast food.

At the city’s famous Bogyoke Aung San Market, traders can be seems examining gems and rubies or watching sports on TV together on makeshift tables in outdoor tea stalls on the streets.
