Eim Khao Mun Kai is a neat little café that recently opened in Elmhurst serving one delicious dish – a Thai version of Hainanese chicken rice.

In Thailand it is known as “khao man gai” and it is usually a street food sold by vendors all over. Eim Khao Mun Kai has recreated the street cart experience in its little shop expect they use really good ingredients.

The Khao Man Gai is served with a really flavorful ginger rice, the chicken, a broth with scallions and a dark soy sauce to mix in with the chicken rice. There are additional condiments one can add but you really don’t need much more.
