Last week I spent a remarkable evening at De Gustibus – the upscale cooking school housed on the 8th floor of Macy’s. De Gustibus has one of the most impressive line-ups of celebrity chef’s who come in to demonstrate their culinary talents in a casual and intimate setting. Participants get to observe, interact and partake in a full course menu with wine pairings amongst a delightful cohort of gastro-enthusiasts. I spent the evening with my blogger friends Jean-Philippe from I Just Want to Eat and Cindy from Chubby Chinese Girls Eats.
If you know me, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of burgers and milkshakes, so The Burgary was a great place for me. I was so excited to try these two favorite things of mine, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The staff was friendly, and the food was satisfying.
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to try a delicious local eatery called Mansion Restaurant a spot that put me in a food coma after everything I ate, but it was so worth it!
Our dinner began with french toast – who said you can’t have breakfast fro dinner? We tried their cinnamon fresh toast with whipped cream and fresh strawberries on top. It was delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Ever tried Indian-Chinese Food? This signature cuisine was created by Hakka immigrants who settled in a place called Tangra in Calcutta, India over a century ago. Over generations they customized their food to suit the Indian palate by adding spices and heat to their wok cuisine.
