Last weekend, I participated in one of the coolest cooking collaborations I have experienced. I was picked to be one of the participants from around the world in Conflict Kitchen’s virtual cooking lesson with Executive Chef Bahar Sarhangi live from Tehran.

Friday March 11th, 2016 marks the release of the feature film “ The City of Gold” featuring Pulitzer Prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold and director Laura Gabbert.
I was recently invited to a preview of the movie at the MoMA, which was followed by conversation with Jonathan and Laura. We also had a follow-up lunch the next day at Mission Chinese.

What a treat it was to sit down for a one on one chat at breakfast with Eric Kayser, one of my favorite bakers, at one of my favorite French bakeries.
Maison Kayser, the famed French artisanal bakery has just opened its first outlet in Brooklyn. I attended a preview cocktail party the evening before the official opening where we were treated to a sneak peek of all its wonderful offerings.
